(including the following City and Shire Council areas: Auburn, Bankstown, Baulkham Hills, Blacktown, Blue Mountains, Camden, Campbelltown, Fairfield, Hawkesbury, Holroyd, Liverpool, Parramatta, Penrith and Wollondilly).
The Australian Government’s National Community Crime Prevention Programme (NCCPP) invites applications from incorporated, not-for-profit community groups and local government associations/agencies in the Greater Western Sydney region for funding for community initiatives to identify and promote innovative ways of reducing and preventing crime and the fear of crime.
The Australian Government’s National Community Crime Prevention Programme was announced by the Former Prime Minister, the Honourable John Howard MP, on 7 May 2004. Further, as part of the 2004 election commitment, the Government announced an additional $8 million over four years to fund projects in the Greater Western Sydney area.
The first round of grants to under the Greater Western Sydney Community Grants Programme was announced by the Australian Government on 22 August 2005.
