A report on the Tasmanian Capacity Building project on school attendance: Student Absence from School and Juvenile Crime

The report builds on the work of the Tasmanian Department of Education and the Department of Police and Public Safety in investigating  the problem of truancy and the perceived link with juvenile crime.  There were two components of the project: trialling of strategies aimed at increasing school attendance and an investigation of the relationship between truancy and juvenile crime in a particular area.
